Jason Hook

Jason Hook spent his childhood making up stories about the pictures on his bedroom walls, and not much has changed. He is the author of picture books including Castle Barmy (Railway Land Press), Yoga Animals at the Seashore (Ivy Kids), Wendy and the Wallpaper Cat (V&A) and the bestselling Where's the Dragon? (Sterling). His non-fiction books include Native American studies and biographies of two of his heroes, Roald Dahl and Muhammad Ali. He was a finalist in the BBC End of Story competition and won the Beehive Book Award in Utah. Jason also works as a publisher, editor and writer for grown-up children, and invented the million-selling '30-Second Theories' series of popular reference books. He lives in Brighton, and his interests include collecting old books, playing the guitar and watching birds, dragons and mermaids.
