Thomas H. Ohlgren

Thomas H. Ohlgren is Emeritus Professor of English and Medieval Studies at University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He received his Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan in 1969 and has been the recipient of grants and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the J. Paul Getty Trust, the Lilly Endowment, and the Humanities Center at Purdue University. He has published widely in the areas of Old English literature, Anglo-Saxon iconography, and the Robin Hood legend. His latest book, Robin Hood: The Early Poems, uncovers new information about the dates, places of origin, and owners of the earliest surviving manuscripts and printed books.
