Paul Thompson

Paul Thompson is a British singer-songwriter and author from Norfolk, England.

Paul gained a Guinness World Record for ‘the longest journey by electric milk float’ after touring more than 1,000 miles at 15mph in a specially converted solar-powered milk float 'Bluebell', that doubled-up as tour bus and outdoor music stage.

During the Arts Council England funded tour, Paul travelled from his Norfolk home to the wilds of northern Scotland, before completing a run of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. The many ups and downs, breakdowns (mechanical, not emotional!), and kindnesses met along the way are the subject of his book ‘Floating to the Fringe’.

Paul's latest album release 'Lone Star' includes a specially written book of fictional short-stories, based on the songs from the album. Set in a parallel dream-world between the present and future, it is a love story with themes around the environment, materialism, and the pursuit of happiness.
