Alan Rosen

Dr. Avraham (Alan) Rosen is the author or editor of fourteen books, including most recently Filled with Fire and Light (2021). His book, The Holocaust's Jewish Calendars, has been awarded the 2020 Yad Vashem International Book Prize. Currently, he serves as the Elie Wiesel Foundation's Senior Advisor: Archives and Legacy, and the Project Scholar for the Wiesel Living Archive at the 92Y. He has taught at universities, colleges, yeshivas and seminaries in Israel and the United States, and lectures regularly on literature, testimony and history at Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies and other Holocaust study centers. Born and raised in Los Angeles, educated in Boston under the direction of Elie Wiesel, he lives in Jerusalem with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
