Terence Wright

Terence Wright is Emeritus Professor of Visual Arts at the Ulster University where he was Course Director of the MFA Photography programme. During the 1980s he was a freelance photographer for BBC News and Current Affairs: Newsnight, Rough Justice, Crimewatch and editorial photographer for Cosmopolitan, Company, Country Life and New Scientist. In 2001, he was Principal Investigator on "Moving Images - Media Representation of Refugees" at Oxford University's Refugee Studies Centre. He produced "The Interactive Village" (2004-7): a digital ethnography of Czech village life (EU-funded research). He was Visiting Research Fellow at Cambridge University (2008) and Visiting Scholar at University of Texas Medical Branch (2012 & 2015). He is a member of the international editorial board of Visual Studies and a member of the Advisory Board of the World Council of Anthropological Associations.
