David Perlstein

David's new novel TAKING STOCK was designated a Starred Selection by Kirkus Reviews. His eight previous novels include THE SHORT (PUN INTENDED) REDEMPTIVE LIFE OF LITTLE NED about three children of Jewish immigrant families in the early 20th century. LOLA FLORES presents the unique challenges of a Jewish-American trans-woman who becomes 1930s Havana's biggest nightclub star. Kirkus Reviews named SLICK! one of the 25 Best Indie Books of 2012. It satirizes Persian Gulf pretension and American foreign policy in the Middle East.

David's short stories have appeared in various literary publications. His story collection BIG TRUTH appeared in 2019.

David also authored the non-fiction GOD'S OTHERS: NON-ISRAELITES' ENCOUNTERS WITH GOD IN THE HEBREW BIBLE.

He lives in San Francisco.
