Michael Quinlin

Michael Quinlin is author of IRISH BOSTON (Globe Pequot Press), published in 2004 and 2013, and editor of the short story collection, TALES FROM THE EMERALD ISLE AND OTHER GREEN PLACES (Lyons Press), published in 2005 and 2015. His essays appear in ROSE KENNEDY'S FAMILY ALBLUM (Grand Central Publishing), THE IRISH IN AMERICA (Hyperion Press) and the ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NEW ENGLAND (Yale University Press) and he has written numerous magazine and newspaper articles on ethnic history, sports, immigration, politics and tourism. He created Boston's Irish Heritage Trail in 1994, a walking tour highlighting 300 years Boston Irish history, and co-founded the Boston Irish Tourism Association in 2000. Quinlin also founded MassJazz, which promotes jazz in Massachusetts to visitors from around the world. He lives in Milton, MA.
