Jane Caputi

Jane Caputi teaches Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Florida Atlantic University. In 2016, the Popular Culture Association named her the Eminent Scholar of the Year and in 2020 Association for the Study of Women in Mythology gave her their Saga Award. She also has made two educational documentaries: The Pornography of Everyday Life (2006, Berkeley Media) and Feed the Green: Feminist Voices for the Earth (2015, Women Make Movies). Call Your “Mutha’” A Deliberately Dirty-Minded Manifesto for the Earth Mother in the Anthropocene is her latest book, published by Oxford University Press, 2020, in a series on “Heretical Thinking” edited by Ruth O’Brien.
