Kenneth Atkinson

Kenneth Atkinson is a professor of history at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. The author of several books, he is recognized internationally for his work on the Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient history, and religion. Over the course of his life, Atkinson has worked in several factories in the Detroit area and as a kibbutz laborer, served as an area supervisor on archaeological excavations in Israel, spent over two years as a full-time traveler, and served as a soldier in Cold War Berlin (U.S. Army).
