David Wiseman

David Wiseman is a Canadian veteran, writer, and father whose life has spanned the worlds of combat and recovery. A former infantry soldier with the Royal Canadian Regiment, he deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan, in 2010. His experiences with trauma, brain injury, and mefloquine toxicity shaped a decade-long journey through PTSD, loss, and transformation.

He lives in Atlantic Canada, where he continues to write and to support others navigating trauma, intimate partner violence, and life after war. He enjoys painting, nature, and spending time with his pets.
