Born talking – so my mum said – I’ve been telling stories ever since. I’ve been writing books for children for forty years, inspired by my children, grandchildren and young readers in schools - and still do. My new adventure is writing for grown-ups. My first novel The Widows’ Wine Club, a comic romance came out in 2023 and sales of the series have topped 100,000.

Right from the start readers loved sweary Viv, straight-laced Janet, and glamorous Zelda — three widows who become wine-loving friends. Lively Libby joined the group in Widows on the Wine Path. Widows Waive the Rules was next and number four, The Widows' Book Club is just out! Get it in Kindle, paperback, hardback or Audio. I still write for children — Cheeky Chick (Boxer Books) and Poonami came out in 2024 - and classics like Big Red Bath, Class Two at the Zoo, and my Time Travelling Cat series remain firm favorites.
