Lori A. May

Lori A. May writes across the genres, road-trips half the year, and drinks copious amounts of coffee. Canadian by birth and disposition, with a soft spot for Detroit, she now lives and writes in the Pacific Northwest. Her books include THE WRITE CROWD: Literary Citizenship and the Writing Life (Bloomsbury) and SQUARE FEET (Accents). You'll also find her writing in publications such as The Atlantic, Brevity, Midwestern Gothic, The Writer, and Writer's Digest. Lori is a graduate of the Wilkes University MFA program, where she was awarded the Norris Church Mailer Fellowship. She teaches in the University of King's College (Halifax) low-res creative nonfiction MFA program and is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and residencies across North America.
