Elliott Abrams has spent his career at the highest levels of American foreign policy but the work closest to his heart is the future of the Jewish people.

He served as Deputy National Security Advisor to President George W. Bush, as an assistant secretary of state in the Reagan administration, and is now a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Today, he chairs Tikvah, a major Jewish educational non‑profit dedicated to strengthening Jewish identity and connection to Israel.

If You Will It is the book he has been preparing to write for decades not as a politician or a policy expert, but as a Jewish leader who believes we have the tools to reverse the trend. Jewish education. Jewish summer camps. Time in Israel. These are not new ideas. But they are ideas that work. This book is his invitation to parents, donors, and community leaders to use them before it is too late.

Elliott lives with his family in the Washington, D.C., area.
