Peter Shann Ford

Peter Shann Ford is an author, former TV news anchor, bionics coder and and founder of Control Bionics Ltd. [ASX: CBL] which pioneered computer communication and robotic controls using a person's own neuroelectrical signals.

He was a programmer with the VA Rehabilitation R&D Laboratory in Atlanta, developing new communications systems for veterans and civilians with severe disabilities who were unable to use a keyboard or mouse.

He researched "The Keeper of Dreams" (Simon & Schuster, New York) over 10 years, verifying on-orbit material against NASA mission data and recordings, and First Nations lore with elders of the Yankunytjatjara people of the Australian central desert.

As an anchor with CNN, CNN-HLN and NBC News Channel, Ford reported from Kennedy Space Center on the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs, the Pentagon, The White House, The Vatican, Moscow, the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and, after 9/11, from the Northwest Frontier of Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

In 2025 he formed Electric Body XPB (Extreme Personal Best) P/L, applying Computer Human Interface [CHI] technology developed for Control Bionics, to enable elite athletes to improve their personal best without drugs.

His next novel, on the convergence of machine technology, life extension, and energy, is due out in 2027.
