Bryant Keith Alexander. Ph.D. (1998) is currently Professor and Dean, College of Communication and Fine Arts, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. He is co-editor of Performance Theories in Education: Power, Pedagogy, and the Politics of Identity (Erlbaum), author of Performing Black Masculinity: Race, Culture, and Queer Identity (Alta Mira), The Performative Sustainability of Race: Reflections on Black Culture and the Politics of Identity (Peter Lang), co-editor of the Routledge Handbook of Communication and Gender (2020), co-author of Still Hanging: Performance Texts to Deconstruct Racism (BrillSense, 2021) and co-author of Collaborative Spirit Writing and Performance in Everyday Black Lives (Routledge, Nov. 2021) His interests are in performance, pedagogy, race, gender, sexuality, intersectionality, and the politics of administrative life.
