Gary L. Gregg

Gary L. Gregg II, Ph.D. holds the Mitch McConnell Chair in Leadership at the University of Louisville where he is also director of the McConnell Center. He is an award winning teacher, has just won the George Washington Medal for Communications from the Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge, and has appeared on many national and international television and radio programs.

Gregg did his undergraduate work at Davis & Elkins College and did graduate work at the University of Notre Dame and Miami University (Ohio). Along with working in the academy, he was also National Director of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute from 1997-1999. He has served on numerous editorial and advisory boards including The Philadelphia Society, The University Bookman, and Air University.

Though he is the author or editor of a half a dozen books on history and politics, his Remnant Chronicles stories related to his novels _The Sporran_ and _The Iona Conspiracy_ are where his heart is. His forthcoming _The Spear of Destiny_ is a prequel that takes part in Oxford, England during World War II. His podcast is called _Vital Remnants_ and explores classic texts in philosophy and politics.

Gary Gregg was born in southwestern, Pennsylvania where he grew up in the Borough of Longbranch. He lives in LaGrange, Kentucky with his wife, three of his grown children, and two dogs named Diesel and Dakota.
