Justin Watson grew up on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
In 1996, he earned a doctorate in Religion at Florida State University. He published two non-fiction books about American religion and politics.
His first novel was "Marching As to War," a retelling of the Joan of Arc story.
He is currently working on "Then the Judgment," a historical novel about Hannah Dustan (1657-1736).
"As They Laugh" is his first collection of poetry.
He retired in 2022 and is devoting his time to writing and travel.
