Paul Julian Smith

Paul Julian Smith is a specialist in cinema and television, especially in Spain and Mexico, although his PhD, from the University of Cambridge, is on Golden Age literature. After 19 years as Professor of Spanish in Cambridge, he has now been a Distinguished Professor in the Graduate Center of City University of New York since 2010. He was elected a Fellow of the British Academy, is a columnist for Film Quarterly, and has been a juror for the film festivals in San Sebastián and Morelia.
