A world decorated in the cool flux of neon and a pulsating vibe of colours is what flows through my head when storytelling. It's the style that I hope burrows itself into the mind of the reader when they approach a story I've written.

While I'm a lifelong film enthusiast (as far as my memory reaches back), it's often music that inspires my writing - the way a song or a piece of music makes you feel can have a big impact. Other inspirations include Chinese, Japanese and Korean culture - which started when I was captivated by the sights and sounds of Asian cinema when I was a child. Their customs, language (even though I can't fully understand them, apart from a word or two, or speak any of them... okay, okay, I know, must try harder) and the music of these countries can often be reflected in my stories.

Some of my favourite singers/groups are The 1975, Perfume, TWICE, Leo Imai, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Bat For Lashes, Friendly Fires, Francis and the Lights, Harry Styles, Chung-ha and Prince.

I can talk about films until the end of time (and beyond) and... well, more film talk I guess...
