I do product marketing and communications in Silicon Valley. I help startups and non-profits become successful.
"Gold in the Water" was a top-selling sports book about pursuing athletic excellence. I like to think it touched a lot of lives. If you were a reader, I hope it added to your passion. All these years later (it's 2015 as I write this), the book is being adapted into a film documentary.
I write every day. But it's for business. Oh, I'll write some more books and have fun with it. But there's a time for everything. I've spent the last decade focused on helping disruptive technologies enter the market and change how we do things. Netflix was a big, exciting one, and we changed the entertainment industry. More recently, at PowerCloud we transformed how homes and parents manage Wi-Fi. Now I'm in edtech (education technology) and helping companies explore personalized learning through technology.
I've sat on several nonprofit boards, and I'm a startup advisor to a bunch of companies. I swam the English Channel and completed 3 Ironmans.
I know this sounds boring and very un-authory. I cribbed it from my LinkedIn profile and I'll update it at some point.
