James Randall Noblitt

Following careers in the US Air Force (1973-83), and as a clinical psychologist in private practice (1983-2006), I am now a Professor of Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. I am the author of Cult and Ritual Abuse: Its History, Anthropology, and Recent Discovery in Contemporary America (1995, 2000) which I wrote with my wife and life partner, Pamela Perskin Noblitt. We also collaborated in 2008 in producing Ritual Abuse in the 21st Century: Psychological, Forensic, Social and Political Considerations. Pam and I have also collaborated on several articles for professional journals and periodicals as well as on the production of two wonderful children who have subsequently provided us with 5 grandchildren.

We recently completed the third edition of Cult and Ritual Abuse: Evidence, Narratives, and Healing Approaches which is scheduled for publication on July 30, 2014 by Praeger.
