STEVEN B. FRANK is the author of Armstrong & Charlie, an ALA Notable that Kirkus Reviews called a "deeply moving and laugh-out-loud funny story about family, friendship, integrity, and navigating differences." His middle grade novel Class Action about a team of legal eaglets who sue to have homework declared unconstitutional was a finalist for the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction. He is also the author of Global Warning, the sequel to Class Action; The Pen Commandments, a guide to writing that Booklist called "funny, inspiring, personal, moving, and often hilarious;" and Zoey's Pen, about an eighth grade girl who gets trapped in a Dickens novel and picks a fight with a famous writer. "Mr. Frank" is also a beloved middle school teacher at Le Lycee Francais of Los Angeles, where his students often intentionally misbehave because he punishes them with fun writing assignments.
