Michael L. Gross

Michael L. Gross is Professor of International Relations in the School of Political Science at the University of Haifa, Israel and specializes in military ethics and military medical ethics during the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza, Lebanon and elsewhere. The important question for military ethics is: How should state armies fight insurgents who do not always play by the rules AND how should insurgents who struggle for national self-determination fight against sophisticated state armies? The important question for military medical ethics is: How should a modern state army care for its warfighters, allies, local civilians and insurgents when medical resources are scarce? Good questions! My colleagues and I are also thinking a lot about cyber-terrorism. Book reviews, articles and excerpts can be found at my website: https://sites.google.com/hevra.haifa.ac.il/michael-l-gross.

I also enjoy mountain climbing. In the background is the (then) Italian-Austrian front of the White War. Don't know it? Look it up!
