Wendy Wagner is a professor (the Richard Dale Endowed Chair) at the University of Texas School of Law. After growing up in the heavily industrialized area near Gary Indiana, Wagner vowed to learn more about the regulation of pollution. She studied science and law, graduating with a Masters in Environmental Studies and a Law Degree from Yale University and a B.A. from Hanover College. Wagner worked as a trial attorney with the Department of Justice and then as a Pollution Control Coordinator at the USDA. She then moved into academia, where she has been most of her professional life. Wagner's research focuses on issues related to the design of bureaucratic processes, environmental and health regulation, and law and science.
