Mark Pizzato

Mark Pizzato, MFA, PhD, is Professor of Theatre at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he teaches theatre history, dramaturgy, playwriting, screenwriting, and various topics courses in the Film Studies program. Short films, produced from his screenplays, have won New York Film Festival and Minnesota Community Television awards. His recent non-fiction books are about the inner and outer theatres of the human mind, in relation to the brain's anatomy, our evolutionary ancestry, cultural history, and various performance media (ritual, sports, theatre, film, and television).
