Mr. Taylor has served as the Chief Investment Officer for HSBC Asset Management (Australia), UBS Global Asset Management (Australia), and Commonwealth Funds Management. In Tokyo, Jon Taylor spent three years managing Japanese assets as a Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Yasuda Kasai Brinson Investment Management Company. Mr. Taylor also worked in London as the Head of Global and International Bonds at Principal Global Investors (Europe).
On the sell side, Jon worked as a fixed income broker at Manufacturers Hanover and as a foreign exchange broker with the Chicago Corporation.
Mr. Taylor served as the Financial Attaché in the United States Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.
Jon Taylor began his career as an economist working for the United States Treasury Department in both the Office of Tax Analysis and the Office of International Monetary Affairs in Washington D.C. He also worked as an international economist with Continental Bank focusing on Europe.
Mr. Taylor is the author of several books and numerous articles. He authored two investment texts Investment Timing and the Business Cycle and co-authored A Primer on Foreign Exchange. He has also published Red Money: A Financial Espionage Novel.
Jon received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University and his Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Utah.
