Michael Boylan

Michael Boylan is a philosopher, poet, and novelist. As a philosopher he has written 150 published articles and 28 books in philosophy (prominent of which are NATURAL HUMAN RIGHTS: A THEORY; A JUST SOCIETY, THE GOOD, THE TRUE, AND THE BEAUTIFUL, BASIC ETHICS, PHILOSOPHY: AN INNOVATIVE INTRODUCTION (with Charles Johnson), and MORALITY AND GLOBAL JUSTICE: justifications and applications). His most recent books in philosophy are THE ORIGINS OF ANCIENT GREEK SCIENCE: BLOOD--A PHILOSOPHICAL STUDY and FICTIVE NARRATIVE PHILOSOPHY: HOW FICTION CAN ACT AS PHILOSOPHY. As a poet he has two published books and has read in various venues including the Library of Congress. His most recent poetry books are A MODERN RENDERING OF THE PSALMS and MICHAEL BOYLAN:COLLECTED POEMS. He has also published 12 novels--the latest being: RAINBOW CURVE, TO THE PROMISED LAND, NAKED REVERSE, Georgia: A Trilogy, MAYA: AN IRISH-AMERICAN HISTORY, and THE LOG FALL OF THE BALL FROM THE WALL.
