Michael C. Urban

Michael Urban is a software engineer, writer, and editor, with extensive experience in desktop, server, and web software development. For instance, Michael has worked on a three-person team that provided all software development, Linux server administration, and technical support for DZone.com, an online developer community. He has co-authored a best-selling book on FreeBSD, a popular offshoot of Unix. And he has designed and implemented cross-platform Java Swing libraries as well as Java web applications.

In the last few years, Michael has co-authored books on Java Servlets and Beginning Java for Mike Murach & Associates. And now, he’s working with them on some new titles.
