Beth Brainard, a veteran publicist for divisions of Disney and Harvard University, ran her own nationally recognized consulting firm specializing in business etiquette and social protocol. Over the course of her career she created and taught a K-5 etiquette curriculum, hosted a radio talk show for parents, and participated in the formation of the K-12 Character Counts! program. In 2012 she released an updated edition of Soup Should Be Seen Not Heard! that was named a Mom's Choice Awards Gold medal winner. Soup! is the first book of The Civil Kids Collection, a series of manners and life skills books she is creating under the Good Idea Kids label. Ms. Brainard is a graduate of Harvard University and lives with her husband in Massachusetts. They have LOTS of children.
