Michael S. Northcott

Michael Northcott is Adjunct Professor at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Emeritus Professor of Ethics at the University of Edinburgh, and Guest Professor at the Evangelical Theological Faculty, Leuven. He has authored and co-edited 15 books and supervised doctoral students from 17 nations. He is an engaging writer and author and has lectured in universities, and as a public speaker, throughout the UK, and in the USA, Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia, and his readership extends throughout the English speaking world. He is currently mainly based in Indonesia - in Ubud, Bali and in Yogyakarta, Java, His most recent books are God and Gaia: Science, Religion and Ethics on a Living Planet and Fittingness and Environmental Ethics (edited with Steven van den Heuvel) both published by Routledge in 2023.
