Marie Oser Biography

Marie Oser is a best-selling author with a focus on nutrition and its role in disease prevention and has authored five books. Her work is well researched and clearly explains the supporting science for her readers in interesting and concise language.

Oser is a gourmet cook and specializes in creating easy to execute, original vegan recipes with a solid nutritional bottom line and small environmental footprint.

Vegetarian since 1971 and vegan since 1990, she left a career in television advertising to pursue her interest in food, health, nutrition and the environment.

Marie is Managing Editor at www.ecomii.com a leading environmental site where, at The Food & Health Alternative her contributors include many prominent experts such as, Michael Greger, M.D. and Neal Barnard, M.D.

Marie is host and executive producer of VegTV, www.vegtv.com a site online since 2000 with more than 800 original videos on nine channels featuring celebrities, cooking, raw foods, wholesome vegan products, medical and nutrition experts and animal welfare.

Marie began writing for major metros and national magazines in 1990, and was a features writer and regular contributor to national publications, such as Vegetarian Gourmet, Vegetarian Times, Great Life, Natural Health and Today’s Dietitian.

A nationally syndicated newspaper columnist, her weekly column, The Enlightened Kitchen was carried by the Philadelphia Inquirer for more than a year before it was picked up by King Features Syndicate and subsequently the Scripps Howard News Service.

Marie lives in Southern California and is writing her next book.
