Greg Barnhisel

Greg Barnhisel is Professor of English at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. His writing explores how social and political institutions--publishers, journalism, schools and universities, government agencies, foundations, and the law--shape the creation, dissemination, and reception of art and literature in the 20th and 21st centuries. In addition to the seven books he has written and edited, he has contributed to the New Republic, Slate, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Los Angeles Review of Books, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Austin American-Statesman, and Public Books.
