Craig Mishler

Craig Mishler is an Affiliate Research Professor at the Alaska Native Language Center, University of Alaska Fairbanks. He grew up in Michigan and Minnesota and graduated with a Ph.D. in anthropology and folklore from the University of Texas at Austin. He has resided with his wife and daughter in Alaska since 1969 and has worked with Alaska Native peoples in Kodiak, the Aleutians, and the Interior. He eats a lot of fish and wild game and loves to banya. Current projects include a collaborative study of Gwich'in caribou anatomy and a collection of essays on Gwich'in language, culture, and history. He is currently the 320,821st most highly ranked author on Amazon, based on his huge cult following and New York Times best sellers!
