Jack Morgan

Jack Morgan is Emeritus Research Professor of English at Missouri University of Science and Technology. He edited and published, with Louis A. Renza, The Irish Stories of Sarah Orne Jewett (Southern Illinois U.P, 1996.) He then published a study of horror literature and film--The Biology of Horror, Southern Illinois U.P. 2002. Irish Academic Press, Dublin, published his biography of Civil War General Thomas W. Sweeny in 2006 followed by New World Irish: One Hundred Years of Lives and Letters in American Culture (Palgrave Macmillan 2011). Joyce's City: History, Politics, and Life in Dubliners (University of Missouri Press) appeared in 2015, and an edition, The Martyrdom of Maev & Other Irish Stories of Harold Frederic (The Catholic University of America Press) also in appeared in 2015. He has published articles in Irish University Review, Raritan, James Joyce Quarterly, New Hibernia Review, PostScript, and elsewhere.
