Mark A. Rempel is a pastor, author, chaplain, mental health coach, and storyteller whose work explores faith, healing, and the quiet ways hope appears in the human journey. For more than three decades, Mark has walked alongside people through life’s most meaningful moments—celebrations, heartbreaks, questions of faith, and the search for purpose. Those conversations and experiences have deeply shaped both his ministry and his writing.
Mark grew up in Wisconsin, where his early years were filled with family, faith, and the rhythms of Midwestern life. The people and small-town moments from those years continue to influence the way he sees the world and the way he tells stories. Long before he ever considered becoming an author, Mark was drawn to the power of storytelling—how stories help people make sense of life, see themselves differently, and sometimes discover hope where they didn’t expect it.
For more than thirty-five years, Mark has served in pastoral ministry. In Arizona, he and his wife Brenda helped plant and grow 29:11 Church, a thriving church community built on the belief that every person has a story worth redeeming. His ministry has long been marked by authenticity, compassion, and a deep desire to help people find clarity, healing, and hope in the midst of life’s complexities.
Mark has been writing for more than twenty-five years, exploring themes of faith, identity, redemption, and the resilience of the human spirit. Several of his books have been traditionally published by Destiny Image and Thomas Nelson, and he continues to write both fiction and non-fiction that blends honest storytelling with spiritual insight.
In addition to his work as a pastor and author, Mark also serves as a chaplain and certified mental health coach, supporting individuals who are navigating emotional and spiritual challenges. His work reflects a deep belief that healing often begins when people are given the freedom to tell their stories and discover new meaning within them.
Mark and Brenda have been married for nearly four decades and are the proud parents of three children and seven grandchildren, who continue to bring joy, laughter, and perspective to their lives.
Today, Mark continues to write and speak with a simple goal: to tell stories that remind people that even in life’s most difficult chapters, redemption and hope are never out of reach.
