Lawrence A. Blum is a Professor of Philosophy and Distinguished Professor of Liberal Arts and Education at the University of Massachusetts at Boston. He writes about race and morality, moral education, multicultural education, morality and the Holocaust, moral psychology, and moral and social philosophy more generally. He is the author of a forthcoming book, *High Schools, Race, and America's Future: What Students can Teach us about Morality, Diversity, and Community* (Harvard Education Press, September 2012). His *"I'm Not a Racist, But...": the Moral Quandary of Race* was selected as the best social philosophy book of the year by the North American Society for Social Philosophy.
