A lifelong interest and involvement in sport led to a life in sports administration. A passion for the activities - like rugby, golf, gymnastics and basketball - has not prevented studying ways to professionalise the oversight and delivery. Good management of sports organisations helps people, no matter their ability, get the best from their sporting experience.

Linked to that i have written on events in leisure and tourism and love the way they can enhance the sporting, cultural or historic experience, bringing fantastic memories and enjoyment.

Moving then into the commercial sector I have seen good and bad practice in governance and board behaviours and that now is becoming an additional passion - and maybe an additional book?
