I write science fiction and I write romance, for I love them both and never could choose one or the other. Yet I do not combine the two; each stays firmly in its own house and, I hope, shows a love for the classics of each genre.

Well, okay, I love fantasy and history, too, and those often show up in my romance novels. But the science fiction is as old-school as I can make it, growing up as I did on the ABCs of Asimov, Bradbury, and Clarke - and, of course, Robert Heinlein and *Star Trek.*

I sold my first novel, the historical romance LADY OF FIRE, to Dorchester Publishing back in 1995. That was the start of the ten-volume CELTIC JOURNEYS series, each of which is a romance set in ancient Ireland and tells a complete, original story. These are not retellings of any kind.

My science fiction series, THE SPIRIT GUILD, is now complete in four volumes. Two ex-U.S. Army Rangers join forces with a mysterious ancient group, hoping that the combination of magic and modern firepower can stop an alien invasion when all else fails.

Today I am a full-time novelist, ghostwriter, and copy editor, and I never use artificial intelligence (AI) software in any form when creating my books. I can often be found doing workshops and panels at writers' events and conventions.
