Gail Albert

Gail Albert received her PhD in psychology from The Johns Hopkins University. A licensed psychologist and nature photographer, she has also written the novel Matters of Chance, which was a National Book Award Finalist and Book-of-the-Month Club Alternate, and The Other Side of the Couch: the Healing Bond in Psychiatry, which has been a favorite of many graduate programs. An Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at NYC’s Mount Sinai Medical Center as well as a certified teacher of Jewish meditation and mystical practice, she currently has a private psychology practice in Woodstock NY and teaches contemplative meditations on the Bible.
