Alysia D. Roehrig

Dr. Alysia Roehrig (Professor) joined the Educational Psychology faculty at Florida State University in 2003 and serves as the Chair of the department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems. Dr. Roehrig's research interests focus on issues related to effective teaching. She primarily focuses on the professional development of teachers and the literacy learning of students. In addition to books and book chapters, she has published articles in the Elementary School Journal, the Journal of Literacy Research, Science, and The Teacher Educator. She earned both her Ph.D. and M.A. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Pressley. She also earned a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in English and Linguistics from SUNY Buffalo.
