Richard Edwards

Richard Edwards used to run a record shop in London UK before becoming an adult educator and academic. He worked at the Open University, UK and University of Stirling, UK where he eventually became a Professor of Education. He has researched and written on many topics to do with lifelong learning, including the impact of digital cultures, literacy, rhetoric, globalization, and citizen science. A philosopher by background, he loves ideas and is known for drawing on post-structuralist and postmodern theories and actor-network theory in his writing. He now lives on Vancouver Island where he hikes, cycles, runs, cooks and continues writing. He has now turned to writing fiction rather than nonfiction. He is an Emeritus professor, meaning he is of a certain age. But the love of life, ideas and learning continues.
