Robin Carnes

Robin Carnes is a leader in bringing evidence-based yoga and meditation practice into mainstream settings such as the Department of Defense, the VA, universities, corporations, and government. From 2006-2012, Robin was yoga and meditation instructor for a DOD acute PTSD program at Walter Reed Medical Center. Out of this work, she co-founded Warriors at Ease, which has trained 800+ yoga teachers to teach safely and effectively in military communities. She presents workshops and lectures internationally on evidence-based mind-body approaches for addressing stress and trauma. She trains therapists and other healthcare professionals. Robin’s work has been featured in the Washington Post, Woman’s Day Magazine, Huffington Post, and Army Magazine, as well as the award-winning documentary, Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue America’s Healthcare. In 2013, Robin was honored by the Smithsonian Institution for her pioneering work in bringing yoga to military communities. She is a certified yoga teacher, a certified yoga therapist and a Senior iRest Meditation teacher and trainer.
