Christopher Krovatin

Christopher Krovatin is the author of several young adult and middle-grade novels, including Ablaze, Awake (February 2024), Killer Harvest (coming this fall), Red Rover, Darkness, Heavy Metal & You, Venomous, Frequency, and the Gravediggers trilogy. He's also the co-author of the nonfiction book Hellraisers: A Complete Visual History of Heavy Metal Mayhem.

As a music journalist, Chris has written for The Pit, Kerrang!, MetalSvcks.net (as Emperor Rhombus), Noisey, Revolver, Invisible Oranges (as Scab Casserole), Rolling Stone, and Boulder Weekly.

Chris is a lifelong devotee of horror and heavy metal, and has dedicated his life to telling stories that make weirdos, outsiders, and indoor kids feel a little less alone. His year revolves around Halloween. He lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with his wife Azara and his son Jacob.
