Alexandra Wilson

Alexandra Wilson is an author, arts writer, and academic, whose books focus on opera and the place of the arts in twentieth- and twenty-first-century society. Her journalistic writing has appeared in BBC Music Magazine, The Critic, Engelsberg Ideas, The New Statesman, BBC History Magazine, History Today, Opera, The Telegraph, and The Sunday Times. She has broadcast many times for BBC Radio 3 and works regularly with all of the UK's major opera companies. Dr Wilson is a Senior Research Fellow at Jesus College, University of Oxford and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
