Alexandra Wilson

Professor Alexandra Wilson is a musicologist and cultural historian, with particular interests in Italian opera, 20th-century operatic culture, and the cultural history of turn-of-the-century Italy and interwar Britain. She is Researcher in Residence at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a Senior Research Fellow at Jesus College, Oxford. Alexandra has presented numerous broadcasts for BBC radio, written programme essays and given educational talks for all the UK's major opera companies, and comments extensively on cultural matters in the media.
