Barbara J. Scott

Barbara J. Scott, an inspirational and Christian author, book editor, and well-known writing workshop faculty member, worked with traditional publishers as an acquisitions and senior editor for twenty years until she struck out on her own as an agent and then as a freelance book editor and indie publisher.

Mountain Brook Ink published Barbara's historical romance, Dreams of My Heart, set in 1875 Montana Territory on April 1, 2018.

Her novella titled "I’ll Be Home for Christmas" appears in Sleigh Bells Ring: Four Contemporary Romance Novellas published in late 2016 with Gilead Publishing in late 2016.

Her bestselling novels Sedona Storm and Secrets of the Gathering Darkness were written with coauthor Carrie Younce and published by Thomas Nelson.

She has also written numerous gift books and ghostwritten nonfiction.

Barbara and her husband Mike live in the Nashville area with their Chihuahua/Jack Russell named Sissy who was rescued from a puppy mill.

Reading, writing, editing, and teaching are her passions.
