Bil Holton

Rev. Dr. Bil Holton's quest for a deeper understanding of spirituality began as a young boy, when he was chastised for asking questions in Sunday School! He knew even then that there was more to sacred scripture than a literal, dogmatic interpretation. He has been a serious student of metaphysics and spirituality for over 30 years, and continues to stretch his thinking and expand his "more spiritual than religious" theology.

Bil is an ordained Unity minister, and with his wife and business partner, Cher, heads up The Center for Metaphysical Christianity, an online spiritual community that focuses on helping people master the art of living as they walk the spiritual path on practical feet.

Bil is a prolific writer, and has authored/co-authored over 30 books, both business and spiritual. On a personal note, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and taking what he and Cher call "Indiana Jones Vacations" -- doing things to stretch the envelope, such as white water rafting, fire walking, and sky diving. But when Cher got to choose the "vacation," she chose ballroom dancing! As a result of that vacation (3 lessons for $10 at Fred Astaire Dance Studio), Bil and Cher got hooked and went on to compete as an amateur couple. They have since hung up their competitive dancing shoes, and dance for fun.

Bil and Cher live in Durham, NC, and love visits from their incredible grandchildren!

Yes, his name is spelled with one "L" -- he wanted to remove the "ill" from his name ... and bil is short for billion, which has a nice ring to it!)
