Peter Dauvergne

Originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, Peter Dauvergne's first book, "Shadows in the Forest," won the International Studies Association's 1998 Sprout Award for the best book in international environmental affairs. His 2008 book, "The Shadows of Consumption," won the Gerald L. Young Book Award in Human Ecology. His 2016 book, "Environmentalism of the Rich," won the Michael Harrington Book Award from the American Political Science Association. In 2020, he published his 18th book, titled "AI in the Wild: Sustainability in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." His books have been translated into Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Arabic.

In 2018, he was inducted as a Fellow into the Royal Society of Canada. He is currently a Professor of International Relations at the University of British Columbia.
