Michael Halperin escaped New Jersey and came west with his parents while
battling his brother in the back seat of the family sedan on the road to Los
Angeles. His early success selling a short story to a magazine when he was
fifteen put him on the road as a writer. Halperin's first screenplay written
while a student at USC was optioned by Warner Bros.
Halperin turned to writing, directing, producing prize-winning documentaries
followed by a career in television. He served as Story Editor, Universal
Television; Executive Story Consultant, 20th Century-Fox, Writer-Producer, MCA
Television. Halperin developed the popular iconic animated series and was
