Richard Coyne

Richard Coyne is Emeritus Professor of Architectural Computing at the University of Edinburgh. He is an architect researching and teaching in architectural and urban theory, design theory and digital media. He is author of over 12 books with Routledge, MIT Press, Bloomsbury, Addison Wesley, and Pitman. Richard was raised in Melbourne, attended the Universities of Melbourne and Sydney, lectured in the University of Sydney, and settled in Edinburgh in the mid 1990s. His past readership roles include: Head of the Department of Architecture; Head of the School of Arts, Culture and Environment; and Member of the UK Research Excellence Framework (REF).
