Louise M. Wisechild

Louise Wisechild is the author of the groundbreaking survivor memoir The Obsidian Mirror, now released in its 5th edition with a new afterward, and The Mother I Carry. She wrote these books more than thirty-five years ago, when incest and emotional abuse within families were rarely discussed publicly.

Since then, survivor voices have helped transform public awareness of abuse. Writing these books changed her life. Again and again, readers responded not with silence, but with their own hidden stories.

Today Louise is a keynote speaker, mentor, and singer-songwriter exploring healing, creativity, voice, and transformation through writing, music, and advocacy.
